My name is Luiz Laet, the person behind Looped Drones. I started my drone journey back in 2020 as a hobby, flying FPV racing and freestyle drones. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to work with sponsors who still support me today, helping keep me in the air and pushing my work further. In 2023, I landed my first film project, which made me realise how much FPV skills could bring to movies, commercials, and high-end productions.

My passion for extreme sports and cinema has played a huge part in shaping my style and approach to drone work. Flying FPV gives me the freedom to create dynamic, immersive shots that bring energy and emotion into every project.

Before drones, I spent around 15 years filming extreme sports, especially BMX and skateboarding, creating video edits for brands such as S&M Bikes and Endless Magazine. Over the years, I’ve built strong friendships and connections within the action sports scene, which continues to inspire the way I work today.

Originally from Brazil and now based in the United Kingdom, I’ve always been passionate about filmmaking. Drones completely changed the way I see the world and tell stories. It’s exciting to see how much FPV and drone cinematography are becoming part of TV commercials, feature films, music videos and live events.

I’m fully CAA approved, GVC licensed, EASA appoved and insured, with extensive experience capturing complex FPV and DJI drone shots in demanding environments.
